Overview

In the community there is also a small church dedicated to Agios Georgios. This small chapel is built to the east, on the road leading to Agia Marina Kelokedaron. The building of the chapel began in 2001 and was completed in 2002. It is noteworthy that at a distance of about fifty meters, on a steep cliff, there is a cave that formerly had frescoes of St. George. Access to the cave is via a rough path. The construction of the chapel was the wish of the late Andreas X "Evangellous who donated the site and a respectable amount of money. His wish was carried out by the donor's brother, Iordanis X "Evangelous, in collaboration with George Kaiser, who was the community's mayor.
